Lateral Line 25:37

about

This is becoming a habit, five albums now. Today was a humid day and that brought on thinking about fishes swimming around in a cave. That's where the lateral line comes in handy for a fish to find its way around - eyesight isn't quite so useful in some of those caves.

So, having prepared a very "watery" ambient backdrop, it was time to improvise over the top with a few subtle sounds... and a Mellotron. There is a hint of a high-register sequence that was originally destined to form part of a Klaus Schulze track, but was fired into here instead. It seems to fit.

Sit back and enjoy 25 minutes of relatively ambient listening.
